Joe Nixon & Arch Creative

Joe Nixon is the co-founder of Leicester and London based design agency Arch Creative which was formed in his spare bedroom in 2006.

As Creative Director, Leicester born Joe has helped to build an impressive client list. Joe has guest lectured at Leicester University and carries out annual portfolio reviews for Graphic Design students at DeMontfort University.

Joe works closely with local Leicester based charity Soft Touch Arts, who use arts, media and music activities to make positive life changes for disadvantaged young people.

“Arch are extremely proud and excited to be involved in this project. Shaun Knapp and I both share a passion for the sixties, as well as a desire to capture memories for posterity before it’s too late. The project came about after Shaun had listened to my father’s recordings at the University of Leicester whilst researching his new book and had been energised by the content. Dad was called John but known as ‘Jelly’ and was a Mod ‘face’ and popular character on the Leicester music scene right up until he passed away in 2017. By a stroke of coincidence, I had also embarked on researching this period for a proposed documentary idea I had so it was a great meeting of minds.”
