Leicester born Shaun Knapp has over 20 years experience in local authority, city centre, tourism, arts and heritage marketing both with Leicester City Council and Leicester Promotions.
Shaun managed various high profile marketing campaigns including the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee tour of Leicester in 2012, the first stage of the King Richard III discovery, Lord Attenborough’s Picasso Ceramic exhibition and The Joe Orton exhibition.
Shaun has worked with various partners including private and corporate sponsors and funding bodies such as the Heritage Lottery Fund and Arts Council England.
Shaun published High Flying Around: Memories of the 1960’s Leicester Music Scene which received both local and national critical acclaim, and is about to launch his second book Mods: Two City Connection.
With a double passion for contemporary local history and music, Shaun is the ideal person to tell the story of one of the most exciting eras in Leicester’s history.
